The hobi® Ultrasonic Animal Alert
Made in Canada
HELP PROTECT WILDLIFE
Together, we can promote safer roads for both drivers and wildlife
Due to silent electric-vehicles ever increasing numbers of wildlife are subjected to mishaps on our roadways.
The hobi® Ultrasonic Animal Alert is the ultimate in highway safety and animal protection. Activated by wind flowing through it at speeds over 50 km/h, the ultrasonic animal alert transmits a high frequency whistle which alerts most wildlife to your oncoming vehicle. Natural instinct takes over and deer, elk, moose and smaller animals react to the sound by stopping their current activity and listening thus a potential collision is avoided.
Why hobi®?
- In Canada, four to eight large animals, including elk and moose, are struck on the road every hour
- In the US, there are approximately 400 million animals killed on the road every year
In Sweden 60% of all reported road traffic accidents involve wildlife.
- In Finland, more than six million animals are killed on the road every year
- In the UK, around one million mammals are killed on the road every year
- In Germany, over one million animals are killed on the road every year
- Tens of thousand of animals on Polish roads annually, according to PROS
- For every animal killed on the road 3 – 4 die unnoticed from their injuries
